About Us
Straight River Family Dental was founded in 2023 by Dr. Kurt Erickson and Dr. Seth Huiras who acquired the practice from Dr. Richard Dresser. Dr. Seth and Dr. Kurt are thrilled to have the opportunity to carry on the legacy of excellent dentistry from Dr. Dresser. They are excited to provide compassionate dental care to the Owatonna area using the latest in dental technology.

Meet the Doctors
Dr. Seth Huiras
Dr. Seth Huiras grew up near Random Lake, WI, a small farming community near Sheboygan, WI. He then moved to Northfield, MN where he attended St. Olaf College. He graduated with a degree in chemistry and a concentration in statistics. Dr. Huiras developed his dental skills at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

Dr. Kurt Erickson
Dr. Kurt Erickson grew up in Fairmont, Minnesota and is a graduate from Fairmont High School. He completed his undergraduate education at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2010.

Dr. Richard Dresser
Dr. Richard Dresser was born and raised in Edina, MN. His interest in dentistry began early on, having a father who was an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. After three years of schooling at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Dr. Dresser was granted early acceptance into the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
